Equally I reflect through what I've just read, I tin truly say I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and am eager to see what's next in Orphelia and Luca'due south story.

For a debut novel AND cocky-published ( please correct me if I'm wrong), hats off to you, Tiffany!

Before I go into information technology besides deep, this book felt absolutely massive. It's really not, beingness around 500 pages but the fashion the story was told had me feeling like I was experiencing time the same style the characters did. I'm not quite certain exactly how much

Every bit I reverberate through what I've just read, I tin can truly say I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and am eager to see what's next in Orphelia and Luca's story.

For a debut novel AND cocky-published ( please correct me if I'one thousand wrong), hats off to yous, Tiffany!

Before I get into it likewise deep, this book felt absolutely massive. It's really non, being effectually 500 pages merely the way the story was told had me feeling like I was experiencing time the same way the characters did. I'm non quite certain exactly how much fourth dimension passed, merely if I had to guess it was probably just curt of a year?

To keep things unproblematic, I'm going to interruption it all downward for y'all (and me):

Pros:
-This didn't feel like a book I've read before. There'due south then many trends going on right now, many of the books I've read recently melt together from lack of originality. This felt different, and I loved that! Like I could probably recite the majority of what happened throughout this story without mixing anything up from another book I've recently read, if that makes sense. The story truly was it'due south ain.
-The tiresome burn, wowowowowow. It was most definitely slow, and boy did it burn. Their love is so sweet, but at that place were moments their professions had my center aching in the most delicious ways.
-The smaller characters Orphelia and Luca encountered throughout their journey were a care for. Loved their personalities and though they were non as significant, they enriched the tale nevertheless.
-Normally I don't like finishing a book with as many questions equally I take, but the mystery of it all just adds to its enticement for me. In that location'southward so much we haven't learned yet well-nigh Orphelia, simply the lilliputian nuggets we got only accept my mind swimming with all the possibilities. And as much as information technology collection me basics, I like that we had to wait as long as we did for those lilliputian $.25 of info.

Cons:
-WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HORSES?!?! Putting this as a con cos wtf I'm dying to know if they're okay!!!!
-As a Smut Queen, of course I'll always ask for more than explicit content. At that place were and then many parts that had me feeling like I did reading Elide and Lorcan'due south "moment" in Throne of Glass. Like WHAT DID HE Exercise?! Ya know?
-This is a mixed pro/con: This book was easy to put downward. Which is wonderfully user-friendly when you're an adult with 10 million things to practice, simply also not when you want to be sucked into a story and devoured by it. It's not that I lost interest, information technology was but easy for me to stop and walk away.
-While I dear the mystery of having then many questions, I also hate having so many questions lol
-This is nit-picky, but whatever. The downside of cocky-publishing is the increased likelihood of typos. This isn't something that generally bothers me, they don't throw me off the story and I'm able to glance over and move on, just I know this is something that can frustrate a lot of readers. There'due south more typos in this book than whatsoever I've read lately, generally pocket-sized and inconsequential, but in that location were a few moments where they were harder to ignore. Like I said, personally, I don't care. It's self published, a debut novel, you should expect some typos. But also, I think it'due south a lightheaded affair to option on (we're all man, after all, have some grace), but I've seen authors go torn to shreds over this flake. So have this every bit me setting the expectation for those of y'all who can't ignore them and move on.

The Characters:
-Orphelia is a complex graphic symbol. I love the paradox she represents, and the style things ended has me filled with so many questions that I cannot wait to have answered. She has a mysterious by, struggles with what's right and wrong, is vehement in her protection of those she loves, but besides has such a terribly nighttime mental attitude it'south hilarious at times.
-Kheris really is the 1 you dear to hate. He'southward mostly what I would expect from the God of Death, but his apathy honestly makes him even worse and more cruel, in my stance. Also, eating Orphelia's food every time he barges into her home uninvited…totally fucked and pure genius. *chefs kiss* to this small item that adds to this character's trashy attitude lol
-Luca, oh Luca. Where do I even first? I love him in every way. The way he showed up in Orphelia'due south life is honestly comedy. His relentless pursuit to be in her company, which is a bit curious at first, is just the sweetest matter. And him beingness an angel?! Oh my, I'grand in love. The love that develops for Orphelia is and then deep and consuming. His professions for her are romantic gold. I CANNOT wait to run across fan art of him with his wings out!
-I idea the Handmaidens (Orphelia's sisters) were corking. Once once again quite mysterious, which I love. Nessa is wonderful, I cant wait to run into her more in the adjacent volume. But I'thou also very eager to run into how the remainder of them show upward every bit this war develops. And Aoife? She's equally rotten as they come.
-I LOVED the Fates and just wish I got them sooner! And more than of them! Their dynamic with Orphelia was honestly not what I expected, since in virtually other books I've read The Fates are almost a myth with how reclusive they can be. Very excited to run across how they play into the story next.
-Okay honestly I was a little confused initially thinking Saros would be a dear interest then he just kind of disappeared, simply when he was brought back at the end?! Wow loved that. I'm hoping to come across more of him in the side by side book. And I wonder if he has whatsoever magical power considering his grandmother. Either way, I'1000 obsessed over his reappearance correct at the end.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this story! I am so excited to run into where this trilogy leads the states, and I tin simply hope it's originality continues through the next 2 books.
